ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL

Saturday July 25th, 2005. San Bernardino, CA - Electronic Daisy Carnival. I entered fast through the security check point, although they got their hands on my pack of open cigarettes and a big bottle of water. No biggie, rules are rules. Our First pit stop is "Circuit Grounds". Punk tunes are being played and people leaving and entering the place at about the same rate. There was nothing that really caught my ear to stay there longer then 5 min. Checking on time I realise I only have 30 min. before Happy Hour was over! I rushed myself to the "Budweiser" Truck and bought 4 cups of beer and paid 8$, pretty good deal considering I was one of the last ones to get such deal!

Next Up The BASS POD! That was way cool ... Drum and Bass, people cheering dancing. Ah, the fun has begun, so has the beer started to work :) Oh and by the way. Look what i found outside the bass pod!

Next stop blew me away. Ladies and Gentleman I present to you : "Speaker Junkies" Something great nice Hard Trance! Great beat, great tunes but most of all, no vinyl. All done right in front of you! All in all Speaker Junkies were great openers!

Next up, It was The carnival itself, Great freak show indeed!

Ahh, the time has come for some Outstanding performers! Starting with "Infected Mushroom".
I never really got into them that much. But when they are live, they rock the place flat out! Psychedelic with hard hitting electro beats with mellow to heart pumping melody, it was a great opener for this great evening! And they actually sing, which is very impressive if you ask me!

Next up, Junkie XL! Some one I never heard of, and plenty of people didn't either. Surprisingly He was outstanding. His mix had plenty of Vocals that sent me goosebumps and had plenty of beats that sent every one jumping all over the place. He knew what he was doing! Great stuff!

Did some one say "Grab a Red Bull"? Because that's exactly what you need for those next two guys. Crystal Method literally rocked the house. The energy coming from their front man was outstanding, the interaction with fans was great! He jumped, made faces, went mad right before our eyes, which were going mad as well! Not only they were Great! They were smart! For their last song, what better could it be then a well executed remix on Song 2 by Blur?! With such high energy end I almost had a tear come out of me, I didn't want them to stop. Too bad it's not like in Oprah, where they get to do one more for the audience.

Well, as soon as Crystal Method was finished. The whole place broke out chanting Ferry, Ferry, Ferry, only to be silenced by a great mellow intro by Ferry Corsten. Oh man! was i craving for a joint or what?! Actually a pretty girl would do too. But i was too busy trying to get people off my back. You have to understand I was standing there for more then 4 hours!!! I slowly went to the side of the "shed" where i could still hear his great mix and at the same time breathe! His music totally sends you on a ride of a life time. Great vocals, top notch everything! Great Job Ferry!

All in all Electronic Daisy Festival was an excellent "day trip"! For more pictures check out my photo gallery at deviantART

Next week : it's indepenDANCE Festival! with Pual Van Dyke!!!!!!!!!!!!
